ISI Mark for steel products

ISI Mark made mandatory for Miscellaneous Steel Products  

On 25 September 2023, the DPIIT issued a Quality Control Order (QCO) for Miscellaneous Steel Products which will come into effect from March 2024 and makes ISI Mark mandatory for below listed products: 

  1. Steel Pipe Flanges: 15155:2020
  2. Steel Cylinders for Pipes with Mortar Lining and Coating: 16651:2017
  3. Stainless Steel Tubes for Food and Beverage: 6392:2020
  4. High-Strength Stainless Steel Bars and Wires for Concrete Reinforcement: 6913:1973

Note: Goods or articles specified above shall conform to the corresponding Indian Standard and shall bear the Standard Mark under a licence from the Bureau of Indian Standards as per Scheme-1 of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

Implementation Dates for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) are as follows:  

🔰Small Enterprises: 25 June 2024 

🔰Micro Enterprises: 25 September 2024
