Cosmetics
As notified by CDSCO, any product which is being rubbed, poured, sprinkled or sprayed on, or introduced into, or otherwise applied to, the human body or any part thereof for cleansing, beautifying, promoting attractiveness, or altering the appearance, and includes any article intended for use as a component of cosmetic.
Import of cosmetics into India is regulated through a system of registration by the CDSCO under the provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and the Cosmetics Rules, 2020.

Few Important Point:
The Validity of the certificate post approval is for 5 years.
The registration certificate shall be produced by the authorized importer or distributer or agent as and when required by the Licensing Authority or regulatory authority.
In case of a change in name or address of a registered holder or overseas manufacturer, operating under this registration certificate, an application for amendment shall be made in the online portal of the Central Government for prior approval from the Central Licensing Authority for the said changes in registration certificate within a period of sixty days from the date of such change.
All the documents shall be in English language
