Pain Points to be Addressed
The customer needed an MTCTE certificate within 4 weeks to import their products into India, but the certification process was taking 12 weeks more than anticipated.
Key Challenges Faced
- The customer needed to import access points, L2 and L3 switch products into India within 4 weeks. Customs will not permit importation without the MTCTE certificate.
- MTCTE certification involves multiple tests, and no single lab can do all these tests in India, meaning products need to go to multiple labs for testing.
- Moreover, the customer had only 2 sample units which limited the ability to conduct parallel testing at multiple labs. This typically extended the testing, resulting in 12 weeks more than the customer expected.

- Created a detailed project management plan and schedule for handling sample logistics.
- Visited the labs in person to persuade them to prioritize our test slot bookings. This helped us create an efficient project schedule.
- By sticking to the schedule, we managed to reduce the time between receiving the draft test report and moving the samples to the next lab.
- Maintained strong communication with both the labs and the client, offering technical support to the labs whenever needed.
- Worked closely with TEC to secure approvals, including visiting TEC officers to facilitate the certification process.
