They feature:  Material: Strong, woven polypropylene fabric with a laminated coating for moisture resistance.  Design: Block bottom for stability and a valve opening for easy filling and sealing.  Benefits: Durable, moisture-resistant, cost-effective, and recyclable, making them ideal for the construction industry and other bulk packaging needs.  Applications: Primarily used for cement but also suitable for other granular or powdered materials.  Overall, these sacks offer a practical and reliable solution for handling and storing cement.

The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India regularly issues Quality Control Orders (QCOs) under the aspect of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) to regulate various types of goods imported into or manufactured locally within the country. In line with this objective, a recent QCO has been issued to regulate “Textiles — Polypropylene (PP) Woven, Laminated, Block Bottom Valve Sacks for Packaging of 50 kg Cement”. This product falls under the mandatory BIS-ISI Mark certification scheme (Scheme-I of Schedule II), making it mandatory for manufacturers and importers to obtain a valid license by a specified deadline. Failure to comply will lead to the prohibition of importing, manufacturing or selling these goods in the Indian market.
