Vincular as a Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) organized an Awareness workshop on Electronic waste and its management in the Residential Society, Revari Talab Varanasi on 15th Dec 2020.
The objective of conducting this workshop among the local citizens was to make them aware about the E-Waste and its hazards effect as well and proper way of its disposal. The initiative ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ waste hierarchy was also a part of the discussion.
The event was attended by over 200 local citizens including the members of Nagar Nigam. We at Vincular look forward to conduct more such sessions on e-waste in the upcoming times.

VINCULAR conducted an awareness workshop at Government Girls Inter College on E-waste Management and its Hazardous effect. It was great to see the enthusiasm of the students the staff members during the session and moreover we got to know that the school is already actively working towards spreading awareness on Plastic Waste Management by preparing posters highlighting the issues.
VINCULAR highlighted important facts regarding E-waste generation globally, where does INDIA stands in terms of generating e-waste, total recycling capacity of INDIA and formal way of disposal of the electronic waste.
The students showed great interest in understanding the govt. initiatives to resolve this serious issue towards making a sustainable environment.

VINCULAR conducted webinar on E-waste Management with College of pharmacy, Graphic Era Hill University and Department of Management Studies, Bhimtal. We interreacted with the students and the faculty members digitally and presented facts and figures about the Electronic waste and its hazardous effect. We encouraged the students to come forward and speak their ideas on how they can support the college in managing the electronic waste generated through them. We also made them aware about the nearby recyclers with whom they can connect with to dispose their e-waste in environmentally safe and sound manner.
Looking after the current Covid situation, VINCULAR is looking forward to conduct more such webinars on e-waste in the upcoming times on regular basis.

Vincular as a Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) conducted an Awareness Run “Lakshya- A Race Against E-waste” in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh dated 28th Feb 2021. The intent of this initiative is to create a common platform for different age groups thus allowing VINCULAR to ensure awareness about electronic waste and its management.
The awareness run of 4Km “Lakshya- A Race Against E-Waste” started at 7:30 from Malaviya Ji Memorial, Lanka (B. H. U Gate) and had concluded at 9:30am with the awarding and awareness message to all the participants at Assi Ghat. Dr. Prabhunath Dwivedi (President awardee in the field of literature), Dr. Deepak Asthana (Brand Ambassador) and Md. Ustad Fateh Ali Khan (Grandson of Late Ustad Bismillah Khan) were present as the Chief Guest and appreciated the efforts of VINCULAR in the field of e-waste management while speaking on the importance of correct disposal of e-waste. Further, winners were awarded with cash prizes, citations and certificates against individual categories of Professional Male, Professional Female and Fun & Run. Special guest Mr. K.S. Parihar Ji (Head Librarian-District govt. library, Varanasi) expressed his opinion on e-waste awareness campaign. At the event, Mr. Balbir Bora, Director of VINCULAR also highlights the importance of proper disposing of e-waste and thanked the cooperation of associated NGOs, Wes India, Jhunna Foundation, Saar Sansthan, Varuna Seva Trust. The event was closed by a e-waste pledge along with distribution of certificates to all the participants.
The prime focus of the event was to spread awareness among the local peoples about the toxic effects of e-wastes impacting the earth’s air, soil, water and ultimately human health. We had distributed t-shirts & pemplates among the participants as well as local people with a message of proper e-waste recycling. We do educate the general public about the efforts being taken by several central govt. ministries like MeitY & MoEF&CC including CPCB to make India self-reliant in this particular field as well. Several examples were given by our expert to emphasize the consequences of improper e-waste disposal in landfills or other non-dumping sites which pose serious threats to current public health and can pollute ecosystems for generations to come including holy ganga ji.

Vincular as a Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) organized a Poster Making Competition on the topic- Electronic waste and its management and the concept of Reduce, Reuse & Recycle among the students of Amrapali College on 05th June 2021 on the occasion of World Environment Day.
More than 50 students took part in the competition and 150+ students from the respective departments took participation in the webinar held on the same day.
The objective of conducting this webinar was to make the students aware about their responsibilities towards creating a sustainable environment. The initiatives by the Govt. of INDIA, MoEF&CC and the CPCB department towards this global cause were discussed along with the roles of the students as a consumer of the electronic product were also mentioned during the webinar.

Vincular participated as a “ Gold Sponsor” in the Virtual Conference on E-Waste Management in INDIA- Circular Economy organized by Confederation of Indian Industry.
The objective of attending this webinar was to provide our inputs/suggestions related to Regulations, Challenges-Awareness & Implementation of the E-Waste Management Rules-2016. Mr. Balbir Bora, CEO VINCULAR highlighted some changes related to the implementation of the rules and also provided the suggestions related to the collection target allocation, new product/product categories etc.
This event helped us to understand the approach being made by the CPCB department in future to promote formal recycling and along with it we got to understand the inputs from the industry itself.

VINCULAR created certain awareness on E-Waste Management digitally on Facebook and YouTube in order to reach to a wider range of audience which can help enable us to spread the word of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle along with the ways of proper disposal of E-waste.
The You Tube video got a reach of about 3k audience. The video was presented to let everyone know about the steps that the Tokyo govt. has taken for the collection of e-waste from the country and making the medals/trophies for the winners through them. We also mentioned about the initiatives taken by the INDIAN Govt. and the CPCB department for the collection and environmentally safe and sound disposal of e-waste generated here. We posted another video on Facebook via a page “Aap Banarasi Hain” to request the local audience to not throw the e-waste or burn it at the time of cleaning of their houses/home and rather get it properly channelized to a recycler through ways e.g. availing buy back scheme, providing it to VINCULAR or the local recycler. VINCULAR organized a collection drive title of which was “ दिवाली की सफाई – इलेक्ट्रॉनिक कचरे की विदाई” in Haldwani City and nearby, Uttarakhand to promote the audience to come up with the E-Waste present with them and provide is to us for ensuring it proper disposal. The event successful as we came up with multiple enquires/doubts from the local audience along with a total collection of near around 300 kg of E-waste. The concept of Reduce – Reuse – Recycle was spread throughout the city via print media and social media platforms. We look forward to conduct more such collection drives along with creating awareness on E-waste Management.

Vincular as a Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) organized an Awareness Programme in Almora district, Uttarakhand on 14-03-2022. The theme of the programme was – “इलेक्ट्रॉनिक कचरे से जुडी बात, कुमाऊँनी होली के साथ”. The objective of which is to reach out to the youth of Uttarakhand during the festive week of Holi and educate them about E-waste management and their responsibility towards this serious issue. This initiative helped us is to create a common platform for different age groups students from different schools thus allowing VINCULAR to ensure awareness about electronic waste and its management.
The event was advertised in print and electronic media, spreading the message of e-waste awareness. The event was well-received by the media and was well-attended. The Senior Superintendent of Police, MLA, Nagar Palika Member and other experts praised this endeavour for raising awareness on such a happy day and urged that the city’s upcoming traditional programmes include a message of similar nature.

The event comes to a close with a commitment that we must help mother earth heal and improve not just today, but every day.
