Importers of High-pressure Gas Cylinders, Please be Aware!

The exemptions and relaxations provided in the Gas Cylinders Rules, 2016 by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), as mentioned in the PIB Press release dated 15 May 2021, were valid only until 30 June 2022. As of now, these exemptions no longer apply.

Any applications for the import of gas cylinders submitted after the aforementioned date will be assessed for import licenses by PESO in strict adherence to the Gas Cylinders Rules, 2016.
