Boosting Safety: OTR Meeting on Machinery & Equipment

The 1st technical committee meeting for monitoring and streamlining the implementation of Machinery and Electrical Equipment Safety (Omnibus Technical Regulation) Order, 2024, was successfully held under the Chairpersonship of Shri Vijay Mittal, Joint Secretary, at MHI, in Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi.

This significant meeting focused on shaping the overall OTR framework, with valuable input from various industry associations to ensure a more efficient and effective regulatory approach. 

Agenda for the meeting- 

• Constitution of sector-specific Sub-Committees  

• Actions taken by BIS towards the implementation of the OTR  

• Roadmap for sector-wise implementation.
