BIS Extends Deadline for IS 3745:2024 Medical Valves

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has officially extended the implementation timeline for the revised standard IS 3745: 2024—Yoke Type Medical Cylinder Valve with Pin Index Connection.

Responding to industry feedback and manufacturers’ requests, BIS has extended the implementation deadline from 14 April 2025 to 14 April 2026, allowing more time for a smooth transition and compliance.

What does this mean?

The current running of (IS 3745: 2006) & (IS 3745: 2024) continues until 14 April 2026.

BIS advises all licensees and applicants to carefully review the revised deadline and update their compliance strategies. They should also adjust testing schedules to ensure smooth adherence to the extended implementation timeline.
