BIS Extends Deadline for IS 302 (Part 2/Sec 75) QCO
The Ministry of Commerce & Industry has officially extended the implementation date for the mandatory BIS-ISI certification under IS 302 (Part 2/Sec 75) for electrical appliances for commercial dispensing and vending machines.
The order was originally scheduled to take effect on 1st April 2025, but a revised timeline for its enforcement has now been announced by BIS.
New Effective Dates:
- General Industry: 1st October 2025
- Small Enterprises: 1st January 2026
- Micro Enterprises: 1st April 2026
The extension provides additional time for manufacturers, importers, and stakeholders to align their products with BIS compliance requirements under the Quality Control Order (QCO) 2025.
